I do not see the Speaker Icon on my Taskbar, but I know I have sound. How do I get this back?
The Speaker Icon can be turned off and on through the multimedia "applet" in the control panel. To get there, [click] on START then SETTINGS then CONTROL PANEL. [Double-click] on MULTIMEDIA. This will open the multimedia control panel.

  1. [Click] the tab labeled AUDIO.
  2. Under the section marked "Playback" there will be a check box that will say "Show Volume Control
  3. On the Taskbar". If this is not checked, put a check in it now and [click] on either the APPLY or the OK button.
  4. You should now see a speaker Icon on the taskbar.
Do I need any special software to run the speakers?
No. The speakers do not require any software. Only the sound or telephony card in your system requires special software to operate.

How do I attach the speakers to my computer (or other sound device)?
There are two RCA connectors (left and right channel) on the back of the monitors. Cables are provided with the monitors that go from the standard mini-stereo DIN-pin to separate RCA connections. RCA to RCA cables are available upon request. For monitors with an integrated microphone, cables are provided as well.
